2022 didn’t quite go as planned. While this is something we should be prepared for (and not be surprised by anymore), it did catch us a little off guard. Still, despite rising costs in paper and low advertising commitments, we managed to release two print editions plus dozens of online stories to fill the time in between. Alas, although unable to close out 2022—and wrap our Year of Ashleys (every cover of the mag this year featured an “Ashley”- or four)—with a print mag, that doesn’t make it any less special or fulfilling. We are so appreciative of everyone who supported and helped us over this past year. To all who visited our website, followed us on social media, shared a post, commented on a photo, picked up the magazine, participated in an interview or let us snap your picture…THANK YOU!! We’re looking forward the stories of Salem’s arts, entertainment + culture we get to share with you in 2023.
Cheers to a very happy New Year!

PS: Thank you so much to “The Ashleys,” who answered our random call when we had an unusual moment of inspiration. You make Salem a better place to live.
