Camerata Musica
Big music, small ensembles. Camerata Musica is all about the intimate, classical chamber concert. The organization enters its 50th season this fall. Their free concerts take place at Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library. cameratamusicasalem.org

Salem Orchestra

Salem Philharmonia
This all-volunteer community group gives local musicians the opportunity to perform full-scale orchestral repertoire. Founded in 2012, the orchestra presents five concert sets each season, emphasizing accessible, affordable live symphonic music. Concerts take place at East Salem Community Center. salemphil.org

Salem Pops

Concert Band
Salem Symphonic Winds
No violins here. Salem Symphonic Winds builds its sound from woodwinds, brass, and percussion, performing everything from traditional concert-band works to contemporary music written specifically for wind ensembles. The result can be delicate, cinematic, thunderous, and occasionally all three in the same concert. Performances take place at Rose Auditorium at South Salem High School. salemsymphonicwinds.org

Choral
Festival Chorale Oregon
This community choir performs choral masterworks. Established in 1979 with just eight singers, the ensemble now has approximately 70 voices. The group has performed at Carnegie Hall five times and toured Europe seven. festivalchorale.org

Willamette Master Chorus
Willamette Master Chorus brings together singers, students, and guest musicians for performances that pair choral work with community. Its concerts span a broad range of repertoire while keeping collaboration, education, and shared musical experiences at the heart of it all. Big + cinematic × Try an orchestra. Full ensembles can deliver everything from sweeping strings to thunderous brass and percussion.
VOCAL drama × Try choral music. Choirs bring text, harmony, and human voices together, sometimes with instrumental accompaniment.
Intimate + intricate × Try chamber music. Smaller ensembles let you hear each instrument more distinctly and appreciate how the parts fit together.
Something unexpected × Check the program for contemporary works, which often mix styles, experiment with sound, and push beyond traditional expectations.
