Salem Art Association offers a variety of unique, one-of-a-kind, artistic gifts. Stop by the Bush Barn Art Center, from 12 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. to pick something out. Learn more here.

Visit the Mother’s Day Market 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Botaneity, 1417 Orchard Heights Rd NW. Stroll the farmstand with a glass of rosé in hand and find the perfect treasures from Botaneity & friends.

Stop by GA At Home, 5711 Gaffin Rd, for a Moms + Mimosas, special Mother’s Day shopping starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7. You’ll find everything from hanging baskets to kitchen decor to outdoor planters and garden goodies, plus complimentary mimosas for all moms. Click here for info.

Brunch It! —

Make a reservation for Mother’s Day Brunch at Infinity Room, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Click here to reserve.

Try brunch at Fork Forty Food Hall where The Best Goose will have a Charcuterie Board and Mimosa special with a selection of cheeses, cured meats, olives, fruit, crackers and two mimosas for $45. By reservation only. Make yours by the cut off on Saturday, May 7. Click here to reserve (through Venmo) and type “Mother’s Day Special” in description. 

And Chubby Bao House is serving delicious treats like brunchtime sweet and savory Chicken & Bao 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. 

Celebrate Mom with a Special Mother’s Day Brunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Cória Estates, 8252 Redstone Ave SE. The feast will feature waffle bar brunch by Willaby’s Catering plus music by Derek Kidd. Ticket are $45 per person. Learn more here.

Music is on the menu at Cubanisimo Vineyards, 1754 Best Rd NW. Listen to tunes from Dylan Santiago 1 to 4 p.m. plus moms taste free between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 8. Learn more here.

At Trinity Vineyards, 1031 Wahl Ln S, from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday, enjoy mimosas made with their sparkling pet-nat, special cheese plates and a free chocolate for all the moms. Learn more here.

Say it with Flowers (or Plants) —

It’s Dahlia Days at Abundant Acre Flower Farm, 506 63rd Ave NE. Visit the farm to choose from a wide variety of individual dahlia tubers, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 7. Growers will be present to answer your questions, too. Learn more here.

Adelman Peony Gardens, 5690 Brooklake Rd NE, is open for the season. Visit the gardens where you can walk 25 acres of production fields, stroll the 2 acres of display garden, view the indoor peony bloom displays and purchase cut flowers or peonies in containers to take home. Although no on-site food available, you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch and eat amongst the flowers. Peak bloom time is usually around Memorial Day weekend, but can vary depending on the spring weather. The garden is open through June 15. Learn more here.

Pick up a hanging flower basket from Furbish which has partnered with Chemeketa Community College horticulture program. All baskets are $29 and are hanging outside Furbish for you to see as you drive by. And only available while supplies last.

Get out and about —

Explore downtown during the First Friday Salem Art Walk. The festivities take place from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Salem.

After the Art Walk, head to the Riverfront Park Amphitheater for a free, all-ages concert with Pachanga.

Take a free self-guided tour of Gaiety Hollow, the Lord & Schryver garden at 545 Mission St. between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7. Learn more here.

Pop in at Sheep to Shawl 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill St. NE for a free family-friendly day of activities that dive into the history of the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill and the booming wool industry. Learn more here.

And while you are there…visit the Studios at The Mill to explore creations by local artists. The studios will host an open house 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7.
