Celebrate the season with the 20th anniversary of Something Red.
Organized by Artists in Action (AiA), this annual juried exhibit and sale feature work from emerging and professional artists in all varieties of mediums and styles, yet with one common factor: the color red. All art in the show incorporates red as a focal point or primary color in the composition.
The opening night reception coincides with the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec 2, with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m.
Awards range from Best of Show, which honors the most captivating art that exemplifies the criteria, to Best Use of Red, recognizing exceptional use of true red as a focal point or primary color in the composition, to Best Original Concept, celebrating the most creative interpretation of the red theme, and more.
There is also an award for People’s Choice determined by a tally of patron votes so be sure to cast your ballot when you visit the gallery. Can’t make it in person? The gallery’s virtual online exhibit will also feature the ability to vote for this public-bestowed award. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition.
