Rosé All Day

“Rosé all day,” as the saying goes, and for good reason. That beautiful pink wine you can find around our local area is usually made with our most popular red grape, Pinot Noir. Rosé is made by pressing red wine grapes and then leaving the juice in contact with the grape skins for a period of time – could be a few hours; could be a few days. The longer the contact, the deeper the color. Most rosés are fermented in stainless steel to keep the fruit aromas and flavors nice and bright.
Rosé wine can be made sweet, but most of our local winemakers choose to make a dry style. You’ll find it to be a lovely, crisp wine that may hint of citrus and strawberries. A perfect, refreshing sip on a warm spring day!
Cória Estates (coriaestates.com)makes a beautiful and refreshing Rosé of Pinot Noir. Try it in their tasting room at 8252 Redstone Ave SE, or pick up a bottle at Roth’s Fresh Markets. Cheers!
