The InstigatorRegister now to participate in Make Music Day
Make Music Day Salem returns to the city on June 21 and registration is now open. Musicians of all talent levels and genres are welcome and encouraged to sign up to play at this annual event of community music-making.
Make Music Day Salem is also looking for venues to host music events. Everyone is welcome to host. There are three simple rules — The event must be outside, free to the public, and held on June 21. If you would like to host, register as a venue.
Make Music Day Salem is a nonprofit, volunteer-run network. Donations and sponsorship are tax-deductible through the organization’s fiscal sponsor, The Salem Foundation. The event is free thanks to sponsors and individual contributions that make it all possible. There are opportunities to support the event as a sponsor, venue, performer and/or volunteer. Volunteers of all ages and experiences are needed to help set up stages, provide information, run the sound system at shows, help clean up and more.
In addition to live music, the event will include musical activities, free music lessons, instrument giveaways, group events, and more. Details, as determined, will be released on the Make Music Salem update page.
