Yozakura – Nighttime Viewing of the Cherry Blossoms

Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a “Yozakura” – nighttime viewing of the cherry blossoms in State Capitol State Park from March 15-March 31. Japanese lanterns and lights will illuminate the trees until 10 p.m. nightly.

No alcohol is allowed in the park and it closes at 10 p.m., however the public is invited to bring a blanket or beach chairs, a picnic, and practice “hanami” or blossom viewing.

This event is sponsored by the Oregon State Capitol Foundation and the City of Salem.
