F-Stop: A Moment in Time

Stefani Art Gallery is excited to announce a Call for Entries for a January 2025 group exhibition celebrating traditional and digital photography.

Photography holds a special place in discussions about contemporary art as a powerful form of storytelling, and is a vital part of our vision at Stefani Art Gallery. Unlike any other art form, photography captures the human experience through moments, emotions, and narratives that transcend time.

The exhibit "F-Stop: Moments in Time" invites viewers to consider both the technical mastery behind each image and the emotional stories they convey. It showcases the photographer's skill in using light, focus, and timing to craft a narrative within a single frame. This exhibition will display the creativity and technical expertise of photographers, featuring professional-quality work in our vibrant space.

From capturing the essence of a fleeting moment to offering an intimate view of the world, photography holds the power to shape our understanding of the world around us. F-Stop: A Moment in Time is an opportunity to celebrate the photographers who continue to push the limits of this medium. The title celebrates photography as a process that demands both technical mastery and an artistic eye to turn the world around us into something timeless. It underscores the power of photographs to pause time and capture moments, big or small, that might otherwise be lost.

We invite artists to submit their most thought-provoking and striking works for consideration, continuing the legacy of visual storytelling and creative expression.

Submission Details:

Deadline for Submissions: November 18, 2025, midnight

Notification of Acceptance: December 1, 2025

Drop-off Deadline: December 15, 2025

Shipping and Drop-off Information

For those submitting work from outside the area, please contact us to discuss shipping options and deadlines. Accepted works must be received by December 15, 2025.

Sales and Commission

Stefani Art Gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales made during the exhibit.

What We’re Looking For:

Professional-level photography (both traditional and digital).

A variety of themes and styles are welcome, as long as they demonstrate artistic vision, technical expertise, and creativity.

Work should be ready for gallery display (framed or printed as needed). Ideally printed by the photographer, but exceptions will be considered for exceptional submissions printed by reputable sources.

All curatorial decisions will be final.

Size of the Work

Unframed and framed sizes.

Type of mounting and framing materials used.

Medium Used (i.e., digital photography, film, alternative process, etc.)

The printing method and printing substrate.

Who printed the photograph (either the photographer or the printer's name, if different from the photographer).

Photographer’s Website and Social Media Links

Story Behind the Image (a brief description of the inspiration or process behind the work)
