DESCRIPTION:Theatre 33\, in residence at Willamette University\, is a new play development company that helps Oregon/NW playwrights develop their new scripts from our 60-hour rehearsed workshop production (fully designed lights\, sound\, props\, set\, costumes\, and entirely blocked with scripts in hand) to a world-premiere full production. \nLights in the Sky\nby Ricky Zipp\nIs a political satire about the blindness of power and the violent choice that human beings decide to make. It shows how a group of people can get to the brink of world destruction — literally — and still not learn the lessons of the past. Jimmy King begins his first day of work for a government office in Washington\, D.C.\, that investigates reports of UFO sightings. As he adjusts to his new job\, he learns that his boss\, Lillian\, and his co-workers\, Whit and Maye\, are covering up a secret alien encounter that could lead to the destruction of the planet. \n\nAugust 4 @ 7 p.m.\nAugust 7 @ 7 p.m.\nAugust 13 @ 7 p.m.\nAugust 16 @ 2 p.m.
