Whether you’re honoring history, supporting the arts, or reliving childhood memories, these events turn ordinary days into occasions.
4th of July
Fireworks may be the grand finale, but there’s plenty happening before the first spark reaches the sky. The 4th of July Spectacular combines carnival rides, live music, fair food, family activities, and patriotic celebration into one of Salem’s largest Independence Day gatherings. This year’s entertainment includes Escape, a tribute to rock legends Journey, and Take A Little Ride, a high-energy salute to country star Jason Aldean. Stick around for the grand finale as an enhanced fireworks show lights up the night sky. 4 to 11 p.m. Jul 4 at Oregon State Fairgrounds. Click here for tickets.
Summer Celebration Party
Salem Art Association hosts the 3rd annual Summer Celebration Party, an indoor/outdoor event featuring live music by Rich Swanger, plus wine tasting, desserts, and special after-hours access to the galleries to connect with friends, artists, and fellow art lovers. 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jul 18, at Bush Barn Art Center. What’s next for Pentacle Theatre? The evening pairs vintage charm with a first look at the productions, stories, and experiences headed to the Pentacle stage in 2027. Two shows: 7 p.m. Jul 24 and 25 at Pentacle Theatre, 324 52nd Ave NW. Click here for tickets.
