First Tuesday Music & Poetry Open Mic: 7 p.m., first Tuesday of the month in Salem’s Historic Grand Ballroom. Free. All ages.

Bricked Up Comedy: 8 p.m. Wednesdays in the Brick Room at The Grand Theatre. Two-item min. purchase.

The Underground Mic: 7 p.m. Thursdays at Venti’s Beer Vault. Free. 21 and older. 

Metrognome Open Mic Night: bands or solo musicians, 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at 767 Church St NE. Free.

RiverCity Open Mic Night: bands or solo musicians, 7 p.m. on the last Friday of every month at RiverCity Rock Star Academy. Free. All ages.
